1982年，一個名為 AC/DC 的小角落誕生。這裡搖滾迷找到一處播放西洋搖滾、分享自由與熱血的空間。創辦人凌威帶著幾千張黑膠與巨響音響，只希望讓那些被主流忽略的音樂與心靈能被聽見。戒嚴時代的壓抑讓許多年輕人找不到出口，而 AC/DC 成為那群不安靈魂的避風港 能真實做自己、痛快聽搖滾的地方。

Born in 1982 under the name AC/DC, a small gathering spot for rebellious musical souls, Roxy’s journey began with a simple mission: bring Western rock to Taiwan and share the freedom of music. Founder Ling Wei gathered thousands of vinyl records and blaring JBL speakers — it wasn’t a bar yet, just a sanctuary where underground rock lovers met. As public expression was restricted, Roxy became a safe haven for outsiders, misfits, and dreamers craving real sound and real connection.

1987年，夢想點燃成為實體 Roxy I 在台北市中心成形。夜幕降臨後，年輕人擠滿破舊的店面，不跳舞、不虛華，只要啤酒、搖滾與同樣心跳的人群。接著 Roxy 系列在台北展開：Roxy II、III、IV、Spin、Roxy Jr.、VIBE、Roxy 99、Roxy Rocker……每一家都曾是搖滾愛好者的集結點，也見證一代又一代的地下文化成長與蛻變。有人笑談，那是台北最早的一場文化革命

In 1987, the movement evolved into Roxy I, a full-fledged rock house in downtown Taipei. Night after night, young souls packed the floor no dance floor, just pure music, beer, and the communal energy of shared rebellion. Over the next decade, the brand sprawled: Roxy II, III, IV, Spin, Roxy Jr., VIBE, Roxy 99, Roxy Rocker each a chapter in Taipei’s growing love affair with rock, live music, and subculture. Some venues closed, some reinvented themselves, but the spirit remained.

在 90、00 年代，Roxy 已不只是酒吧，更是許多台灣樂團與創作者的搖籃。從地下 punk、金屬到原創 indie，每個年代都有人從這裡起步；黑膠迷、獨立 DJ、文化追尋者聚集在此，試著用耳朵與靈魂對話。Roxy 是場域，也是歷史；它見證了台灣音樂舞台的荒蕪與重生。

In the 90s and 2000s, Roxy became more than a bar: it was a cradle for local bands, a runway for raw talent. Legendary acts — the ones that would later define Taiwanese rock and metal — once cut their teeth on Roxy’s stage. 但時代變了，喜好變了，夜生活也緊跟潮流起伏。曾經熱鬧的演出場館關了一家又一家，唱片牆逐漸熄滅。但對許多人來說，Roxy 的空洞與裂痕不是終點，而是召喚：召喚那些還記得、仍渴望真音樂的靈魂。

Over decades, Roxy weathered changing tastes, shifting laws, and new nightlife trends. Clubs closed. Scenes faded. But the need for a real, gritty space lived on. Today, many of those memories are nearly lost. Yet the legacy remains in whispered stories, in old flyers, in the scars of concrete walls.

Now is the time for rebirth. This revival isn’t about nostalgia. It’s about resurrecting a spirit. We rebuild Roxy to honor that original vision:
